Formation of rain takes place in three stages. First, the "raw material" of rain rises up into the air, and clouds form. Finally, the rain drops appear.
These stages are clearly defined in the Qur'an centuries ago, which gives precise information about the formation of rain,
"It is God Who sends the winds, and the winds that stir the clouds and God laid it on the sky according to which pleases, and make it lumpy; then you see the rain water out of the cracks; then, when the rains fell on His servants who pleases , suddenly they become excited "(Qur'an, 30:48)
The picture above shows the water droplets are released into the air. This is the first step in the process of rain formation. After that, water droplets in the newly formed clouds will float in the air and then thicken, become saturated, and fall as rain. The whole stage is mentioned in the Qur'an.
Now, let us examine the three stages mentioned in this paragraph.
TO STAGE-1: "It is God Who sends the winds ..."
Air bubbles are countless formed by the foaming of the oceans continuously burst and cause water particles to be ejected towards the sky. These particles, which are rich in salt, then transported by winds and move upwards in the atmosphere. These particles, called aerosols, clouds formed by collecting the water vapor around it, which rises from the sea, as small dots with a mechanism called "water trap".
TO PHASE-2: "... and the winds that stir the clouds and God laid it on the sky according to the wills, and make it lumpy ..."
The clouds formed from water vapor that condenses around the grains of salt or dust particles in the air. Because the water droplets in these very small (with a diameter between 0.01 and 0.02 mm), the clouds are suspended in the air and spread across the sky. So, the sky covered with clouds.
STAGE TO-3: "... then you see the rain water out of the cracks ..."
The particles of water that surrounds the grains of salt and dust particles thicken and form rain. So, this rain water, which becomes heavier than air, starting from the clouds and began to fall to the ground as rain.
All stages of the formation of rain has been told in the verses of the Quran. Moreover, these stages are described in the correct order. As with other natural phenomena on earth, again al-Qur'anlah that provide the most correct explanation of this phenomenon and has also announced these facts to people in thousands of years before being discovered by science.
In a paragraph, information about the process of rain formation is described:
"Have you not see that Allah drives the clouds, then joins them together (parts of) it, then make bertindih-overlapping, then ye seen the rain out of the cracks and Allah (also) down (granules) of ice from the sky, ( ie) from (clouds like) mountains, then blamed him (grains) ice to whom He wills and turned away from Him whom He wills. luster cloud lightning that almost eliminates eyesight. " (Qur'an, 24:43)
Scientists who study the types of clouds to get a surprising finding with respect to the formation of rain clouds. The formation of rain clouds that take a particular form, occurs through the systems and stages. Kumulonimbus formation stages, a kind of rain cloud, are as follows:
PHASE - 1, the movement of clouds by the wind: The clouds are taken, in other words, blown by the wind.
PHASE - 2, the formation of a larger cloud: Then the small clouds (cumulus clouds) driven winds, join together and form larger clouds.
PHASE - 3, the formation of clouds which overlap: When small clouds converge and combine to form a larger cloud, the vertical upward air movement occurs in it increases. The updrafts are stronger in the middle than at its edges. This air movement causes the clouds to grow vertically enlarged, causing clouds bertindih-lapping each other. Vertically growing cloud is causing clumps of the cloud reaches the regions of the atmosphere is cooler, where water droplets and ice begins to form and grow larger. When the water droplets and ice has become unwieldy, so no longer supported by the vertical wind gusts, they start to come loose from the clouds and falls down as rain water, hail, etc.. (Anthes, Richard A.; John J. Cahir; Alistair B. Fraser; and Hans A. Panofsky, 1981, The Atmosphere, s. 269; Millers, Albert; and Jack C. Thompson, 1975, Elements of Meteorology, s. 141-142)
We must remember that meteorologists have only recently just learned the process of formation of rain clouds in detail, along with the form and function, using sophisticated equipment such as aircraft, satellites, computers, etc.. It is clear that God has told us some information that could not have known 1400 years ago.
