Developmental stages in the mother's womb babies exposed in the Qur'an. As represented described in verse 14 of Surat al Mu'minuun, cartilage tissue in the embryo in the womb of the mother initially harden and become bone hard. Then the bones are encased by muscle cells. God describes this development in the verse: "... and We made a lump of flesh bones, then We wrap the bones with flesh". |
"Then We made the semen of a blood clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, and We made a lump of flesh bones, then bones it We wrap the meat. Then We made him a creature (form) else. So be to God Almighty, Creator of The Most Good "(Qur'an, 23:14)
Embryology is the branch of science that studies the development of the embryo in the mother's womb. Until recently, experts thought that the embryology of bone and muscle in the embryo are formed simultaneously. Therefore, since a long time many people who claim that this verse is contradicted by science. However, advanced research with the microscope that is done by using new technological developments has revealed that a correct statement of the Qur'an is word for word.
Research at the microscopic level shows that the development in the womb occurs in a way exactly as described in the verse. First, the cartilage tissue of the embryo starts to harden. Then the muscle cells are selected from the tissue around the bones together and wrap these bones.
This event is described in a scientific publications with the following sentence:
In the seventh week, order began to spread throughout the body and bones to achieve the shape we know. At the end of the seventh week and during the eighth week, the muscles around his position in bone formation. (Moore, Developing Human, 6. Edition, 1998.)
In short, the stages of human creation as described in the Qur'an, strictly in accordance with the invention of modern embryology.
